AISI 410 UNS S41000 X12Cr13 Martensitic Stainless Steel Bars and plates
As a martensitic stainless steel, it exhibits good heat resistance below 600°C. After quenching and tempering, it possesses high strength and toughness, as well as good corrosion resistance and machinability. However, its corrosion resistance is poor in highly corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid.
Applications of AISI 410
It is mainly used for impact-loaded components requiring high toughness and corrosion resistance, such as cutting tools, blades, fasteners, hydraulic press valves, and thermal cracking equipment for resisting sulfur corrosion. It can also be used to manufacture equipment and components resistant to weakly corrosive media at room temperature, and as oxidation-resistant parts below 800°C, such as heat-resistant components for aerospace applications.
