UNS N08020 Corrosion-Resisting Superalloy Bars and Plates
This niobium-stabilized Ni-Fe-Cr-Mo-Cu austenitic corrosion-resistant alloy resists oxidizing/reducing mixed acids, chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. Featuring low-carbon niobium stabilization, it boasts excellent weldability, hot/cold formability and stable high-temperature microstructure with good chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance, ideal for pressure-bearing parts under severe multi-acid corrosion.
Applications of UNS N08020
Widely used in sulfuric acid reactors, pickling lines, phosphoric acid plants, FGD heat exchangers, pharmaceutical anti-corrosion equipment, acid storage tanks, process pipelines, valves and agitators. It acts as a dedicated pressure-resistant alloy for mixed acid and chloride-containing corrosive environments with reliable resistance to pitting corrosion and chloride stress corrosion cracking.
