Hastelloy C276 UNS N10276 2.4819 Corrosion-Resisting Superalloy Bars and Plates
This high-performance nickel-molybdenum-chromium-based corrosion-resistant alloy exhibits outstanding resistance to both reducing media (such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid) and oxidizing environments. It also boasts excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking. Furthermore, it demonstrates exceptional high-temperature strength and excellent workability, allowing it to be fabricated into complex components via processes such as welding and forging. This alloy meets a wide range of operational requirements—from ambient temperatures up to high temperatures—and is an ideal material choice for tackling extreme corrosive environments.
Applications of Hastelloy C276
In the chemical industry, it is commonly used to manufacture reactors, towers, heat exchangers, and piping systems, particularly suitable for operating conditions involving chloride ions, oxidizing media, and mixed acids. In the environmental protection industry, it serves as a key material for absorption towers and spray systems in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) units. In the oil and gas sector, it is employed in downhole equipment, valves, and pipelines operating in environments with high sulfur content and high chloride levels.
