O2 Cold Work Tool Steel Bars and Plates
This is an economical low-alloy cold-work die steel that achieves a unique balance of properties through a composite alloying design incorporating manganese and vanadium. It exhibits high hardness and good wear resistance, minimal distortion during quenching, and excellent hardenability. However, it has relatively poor heat resistance, and its operating temperature should not exceed 150°C.
Applications of O2
Primarily used in the field of lightweight cold-working dies where cost sensitivity and good dimensional stability are critical. Suitable for manufacturing various precision measuring tools and templates, as well as smaller-sized punching dies, cold-pressing dies, engraving dies, blanking dies, and structural components such as lead screws for machine tools.
