DC53 Cold Work Tool Steel Bars and Plates
This new medium-alloy cold-work die steel features optimized composition based on traditional high-chromium steels, offering a unique balance of properties, including high toughness and excellent wear resistance. It also boasts high hardenability and wear resistance, as well as minimal dimensional changes during quenching.
Applications of DC53
Primarily used in the field of precision cold forming, where both high toughness and cost-effectiveness are critical requirements. Typical applications include: precision electronic stamping dies (such as connector terminals and micro-motor core laminations), complex cold heading dies (for shaped fasteners and precision screw forming), medium- to high-load shear tools (precision hardware cutting blades and electronic component slitting blades), and wear-resistant plastic molding dies (glass-fiber-reinforced plastic injection mold cores).
