Inconel 601 UNS N06601 2.4851 Corrosion-Resisting Superalloy Bars and Plates
A nickel-based solid-solution strengthened high-temperature alloy with excellent high-temperature stability and resistance to reducing acid corrosion. It exhibits good low-temperature toughness, can withstand oxidative environments, and enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Additionally, it boasts excellent weldability and thermal stability, maintaining superior tensile and fatigue properties from low temperatures up to 980℃.
Applications of Inconel 601
In the aerospace industry, it can be used to manufacture turbine blades, combustion chambers, guide vanes, mounting flanges, and cylinders for aircraft engines; in the energy sector, it is widely employed in high-temperature equipment such as gas turbines and nuclear power plants; in the chemical industry, it is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure components in chemical equipment, as well as for conveying highly corrosive media—such as organic acids, inorganic acids, and alkaline solutions—in the fine chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
