4Cr9Si2 Martensitic Stainless Steel Bars and plates
It is a chromium-silicon martensitic valve steel that resists oxidation below 750°C. Below 800°C, it can form a dense oxide film to resist high-temperature oxidation. It also features certain high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance, with excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, relatively low cost, and good processability.
Applications of 4Cr9Si2
It is mainly used for manufacturing components subjected to moderate-temperature service, such as boiler superheaters, steam pipelines and gas turbine combustion chambers. It is also applicable to structural parts operating under high-temperature environments including automobile exhaust systems and industrial furnaces, and can be used to fabricate intake valves for internal-combustion engines as well as exhaust valves for light-load engines.
