UNS S17600 Age-Hardening Stainless Steel Bars and Plates
A semi-austenitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel with excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and good formability. It exhibits excellent fatigue performance, weldability, and resistance to stress corrosion; however, its heat treatment process is relatively complex, and its corrosion resistance may decrease in high-chloride-ion environments.
Applications of UNS S17600
In the aerospace industry, it is commonly used to manufacture aircraft fasteners, springs, engine components, and structural parts; in precision instruments and medical devices, it is suitable for high-stress elastic elements, surgical instruments, and sensor components; in the chemical and energy industries, it can be used for corrosion-resistant springs, valves, and pump parts.
