UNS S13800 XM-13 Age-Hardening Stainless Steel Bars and Plates

Martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel boasts high strength, excellent toughness, corrosion resistance, and good weldability. Its mechanical properties can be further enhanced through age hardening. It is suitable for use in complex environments and offers flexible heat treatment processes. However, it comes with higher costs and stringent processing requirements, and may be prone to age-hardening cracks.

Applications of UNS S13800

In the aerospace industry, it is commonly used to manufacture engine fasteners, landing gear components, and high-stress structural parts. In the shipbuilding industry, it is suitable for pump valves, shafts, and submarine components that are resistant to seawater corrosion. In the chemical industry, it can be used for pipelines and reactor components that are acid-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
