Incoloy 825 UNS N08825 2.4858 Corrosion-Resisting Superalloy Bars and Plates
This nickel-iron-chromium-molybdenum-copper-based corrosion-resistant alloy achieves outstanding overall performance through a carefully balanced composition. It exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance in reducing media such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, boasts excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking, and demonstrates good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion (PREN ≥ 35). Additionally, it combines superior mechanical properties with excellent formability and machinability.
Applications of Incoloy 825
In the oil and gas sector, this material is particularly suitable for downhole tools, oil pipelines, and acidic gas treatment systems used in the extraction of high-sulfur oil and gas. In the chemical industry, it is commonly employed in core equipment such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid production units, pickling lines, and mixed-acid reactors. In marine engineering, it is an ideal material choice for seawater heat exchangers, subsea pipelines, and desalination equipment.
