H10 Hot-work Tool Steel Bars and Plates
This medium-alloy chromium-molybdenum hot-work die steel is a high-performance hot-work die steel positioned between H13 and 3Cr2W8V. It is equivalent to H10 steel as specified in ASTM A581, and boasts excellent through-hardening properties, wear resistance, high toughness, and superior high-temperature strength.
Applications of H10
Primarily used in mold manufacturing under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, this material is particularly well-suited for copper alloy die casting molds (such as valves, faucets, and other castings), die casting molds for high-melting-point alloys, and hot forging dies for stainless steel and high-temperature alloys (e.g., turbine blade forging dies). In addition, this material excels in the field of hot extrusion and is frequently employed in copper tube/rod extrusion dies and nickel-based alloy extrusion dies. It can also be used to manufacture high-temperature-resistant tools such as hot shears, hot punches, and glass-forming molds.
